Does the book crate count towards Loyalty Loot?
Because the price of items included in the crate is discounted as a part of the subscription, crate purchases do not count towards store Loyalty Loot. Find more information on Loyalty Loot here.
When will my crate ship?
Crates ship beginning on the 15th of each month. All subscriptions placed on the 15th or after will receive the following month’s crate as their first shipment. For example, a new subscription placed on 5/10 will receive the May crate, whereas a new subscription placed on 5/15 will receive the June Crate.
How can I tell if my crate has shipped?
We send a shipping confirmation email with your tracking information when your crate has been packed up and the label has been created. Please allow USPS 1-2 business days from when your label has been created for your tracking number to update. If you did not receive tracking information in your email please feel free to reach out to us using the email that you signed up with and we’ll be happy to resend it to you.
I want to sign up for both crates. Do I have to pay for shipping twice?
We offer free shipping on your second crate if you are subscribed to both the SFF and the Cozy Mysteries boxes. If you would like to sign up for both crates please subscribe to one and then contact us with your subscription # and we will provide you with a coupon code for your second box!
I already have this book, can I switch it for something else?
Unfortunately we cannot exchange the crate books for something else, nor do we offer substitutions. We announce the next month’s book on the 15th of every month. (i.e., June’s selection is announced on May 15th, and so on). If you happen to have a copy of the next month’s book or do not wish to receive the next month’s pick, you can opt to skip a month.
How do I skip a month?
You can skip a month by messaging us on Cratejoy, emailing us at email@example.com, or calling us at 619-539-7137 before your auto-renew date on the 25th. When submitting a request to skip please specify which month you would like to skip and provide us with your subscription or order # if emailing or calling. If you request to skip before the auto-renew date for the next month your card will not be charged.
Can I still skip my next box after the 25th/if my card has already been charged?
Please submit any requests to skip a month prior to the 25th of the preceding month. If the 25th has already passed and you would still like to skip, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Request to skip [MONTH]’s crate.”
It says the crate is sold out. Am I still able to subscribe?
We order a limited inventory of books and surprise goodies to include in our boxes each month. If you visit our CrateJoy store and either crate says it is sold out, unfortunately that means we have hit capacity for that month. The good news is we open up more slots for new subscribers every month on the 15th! If our store is sold out, please check back on the next 15th.
