About the Author and Conversation Partner
Richard Lange is the author of the story collections Dead Boys and Sweet Nothing and the novels This Wicked World, Angel Baby, and The Smack. He is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, the International Association of Crime Writers’ Dashiell Hammett Prize, a Crime Writers’ Association Dagger Award, and the Rosenthal Family Foundation Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He lives in Los Angeles.
Jim Sherman is a librarian in the Literature & Fiction Department of the Los Angeles Public Library and is adjunct faculty at Glendale Community College. He has a M.F.A from UCLA's school of Theater, Film and Television, and has worked in film production and script development, as well as programming panels for the Sundance Film Festival.
