Local author Kali Wallace, while still a Colorado resident, attended the Clarion Writers' Workshop at UCSD in 2010 and visited MG. Since then, her short fiction has appeared in a number of SFF magazines and other venues; “Water in Springtime” was selected for inclusion in The Year’s Best Dark Fantasy and Horror 2015.” Kali returns to MG in 2016 for the launch party for her young adult debut horror novel, Shallow Graves.
