Bonnie MacBird is the original writer of the movie TRON, a classically-trained actress, and an Emmy-winning writer/producer. Art in the Blood is her debut mystery featuring famed detective Sherlock Holmes and his partner Dr. Watson. It’s December 1888 in London and Sherlock Holmes is deeply depressed and using drugs again after a disastrous Ripper investigation. Watson can do nothing for his friend until a strange encoded letter arrives from Paris. Les Klinger will discuss his latest collection In the Shadow of Edgar Allen Poe which features horror fiction by widely-acclaimed authors whose works may have been overshadowed by Edgar Allen Poe. Each story has been carefully selected by Klinger for their impact on the horror genre with an overview of each author’s literary career.
London. A snowy December, 1888. Sherlock Holmes, 34, is languishing and back on cocaine after a disastrous Ripper investigation. Watson can neither comfort nor rouse his friend until a strangely encoded letter arrives from Paris.
A masterful collection of horror fiction by widely acclaimed authors whose contributions to the genre have been lost in the shadow of Poe, by one of America's foremost anthologists.
