A Hybrid In-Store and Virtual Event

This is an IN-STORE EVENT that will also be broadcasted live through Crowdcast for those unable to attend in person. This event will consist of a 30 minute discussion with Jessica Parra and Tracy Badua, followed by an audience Q&A, and lastly the book signing. 

Purchasing a copy of RUBI RAMO'S RECIPE FOR SUCCESS through Mysterious Galaxy will get you a numbered ticket for the signing line after the event.  Those who have not purchased a book through us are still welcome to get their books signed, but will have to wait until after the numbered line has finished. Purchasing your books through us allows us to continue to host author events, so we thank you in advance for your support!

How to Order a Signed/Personalized Book from Jessica Parra and/or Tracy Badua if you're not attending in person

1. Add the desired book(s) to your cart.
2. At checkout in the "order comments" box write "signed only" or to whom your book(s) should be personalized (i.e. "To: Ms. Galaxy"). Requests for anything beyond a name, like a note or quote, are up to the author's discretion and are not guaranteed. Orders must be placed by 12pm pt on the day of the event (May 22nd). Please call the store if you wish to purchase a book, or add/alter personalization to an existing order, after this time.

About the Authors
As a lawyer and daughter of Guatemalan and Cuban bakers, JESSICA PARRA never objects to an extra slice of cake. She’s a Los Angeles native who loves to write about Latinas with big hair (and even bigger dreams), complicated families, cats living their best lives (all nine of them), and the healing magic of acceptance. When she isn’t drafting books, you can find her sipping kombucha, cuddling with her kitties, or co-piloting the Millennium Falcon at Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge. RUBI RAMOS'S RECIPE FOR SUCCESS is her first book.

TRACY BADUA is a Filipino American author of books about young people with sunny hearts in a sometimes stormy world. By day, she is an attorney who works in national housing policy and programs, and by night, she squeezes in writing, family time, and bites of her secret candy stash. She lives in San Diego, California, with her family.
