An In-Store Event!
This is a free IN-STORE EVENT with author Stephan Pastis. The event will consist of a 30 minute discussion, followed by a Q&A with the audience, and finally a book signing.
ATTENDING THE EVENT? Because space is limited, we are requiring RSVP for all attendees. At the bottom of the page, please add the free "Stephan Pastis RSVP Ticket" to your cart. If you're adding multiple tickets, please list the names of the guests you're bringing in the event you're unable to make it but the others still will attend. Purchasing a copy of LOOKING UP or PEARLS SEEKS ENLIGHTENMENT through Mysterious Galaxy will get you a numbered ticket for the signing line after the event. Those who have not purchased a book through us are still welcome to get their books signed, but will have to wait until after the numbered line has finished. We highly recommend ordering books in advance of the event, as there's always a chance we will sell out by the event day. Purchasing your books through Mysterious Galaxy allows us to continue to host author events, so we thank you in advance for your support!

About LOOKING UP
From the creator of Pearls Before Swine and the NEW YORK TIMES bestselling Timmy Failure series comes a quirky and heartwarming middle grade novel about a girl struggling with loneliness and the curveballs of life—featuring black and white illustrations throughout!
Living alone with her mother in a poorer part of town, Saint—a girl drawn to medieval knights, lost causes, and the protection of birthday piñatas—sees the neighborhood she has always known and loved disappearing around her: old homes being torn down and replaced by fancy condos and coffee shops. But when her favorite creaky old toy store is demolished, she knows she must act.
Enlisting the help of Daniel “Chance” McGibbons, a quiet, round-faced boy who lives across the street (and whose house also faces the wrecking ball), Saint hatches a plan to save what is left of her beloved hometown.
