Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimoto is going to be one of the most notable manga of the 2020 decade, mark my words! Denji is the type of main character you cannot help but root for -- every aspect of his life from the beginning of the series to the last volume of Part One is brutal, and Denji ends up in a completely different situation than you could possibly imagine from page one. After absorbing his best friend, small dog-chainsaw demon Pochita (to save both their lives, shh it makes sense!) Denji is able to transform into “Chainsaw Man,” a fiend (not human, not demon) who has arms and a head that are, well, chainsaws. If you are a fan of classic horror like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and series full of action packed fighting scenes with jaw droppingly gorgeous art, look no further than this Harvey Award winner for Best Manga of 2021. -Rebecca
