Allison is an avid lover of books that don't take themselves too seriously because neither do they. They enjoy books full of humor, heart, and prose that makes you stop and say, "dang, that's some good prose". Allison enjoys talking in the third person but does not prefer it.

A magical story about first, impossible love and New York Metropolitan transit. There's mystery, found family, and so many scenes in a diner that you'll be craving pancakes for days.
Colorful, irreverent, and hilarious. This series is a visual treat and just a whole lot of fun. It's one of the most comic books to ever comic book as every panel is jam packed full of jokes.
A hilarious, wacky, sight-gag filled adaptation of an equally hilarious, wacky, and heart-warming actual play podcast. I love this world and all of its characters, especially the cat wizard who runs the Fantasy Costco.
If Gone Girl (minus the whole murder thing) and Looking for Alaska had a baby in a small, conservative Southern town, I Kissed Shara Wheeler would be it. A funny, diverse, engaging book about first loves, first hates, and solving the mystery of a missing teen queen who might not be everything she appears to be. It's basically the wacky, queer, teen rom-com of my dreams.
Probably the first sci-fi book that I fell in love with because practically every line is more clever and hilarious than the last.
A cozy fantasy book that I breezed through. I highly recommend reading this book while wrapped up in your softest blankets and sipping a nice, warm cup of coffee. I strongly believe that's the way the book was meant to be experienced.
