Matthew Quirk presented by Sisters in Crime

Matthew Quirk

Before becoming a novelist, New York Times bestselling author Matthew Quirk worked as a journalist at American magazine The Atlantic. During his five years with them, he reported on crime, terrorism persecutions, and international gangs. Since then, he has written five political-crime thrillers, his latest being The Night Agent. FBI Agent Peter Sutherland has worked tirelessly for years to ensure everything he does is by the book, forever escaping the taint of his father’s charge of selling secrets to the Russians when a section chief in FBI counterintelligence. Now working in the White House Situation Room, Peter has discovered that there is a Russian mole in the White House itself. He must evade assassins and betrayal as he works to discover who the traitor is. Author Michael Connelly has praised The Night Agent as “impossible to put out of mind.”

Sisters in Crime is a national organization with local chapters which supports mystery and crime writers and promotes reading the genre. San Diego chapter meetings are usually held on the second Saturday of the month (subject to change), starting with a social period with refreshments, followed by a brief membership meeting. Attendance is free, though guests are encouraged to become members to support our programming. Dues are $25 per year, plus membership in the national organization. Members may join at our meeting. Come out and meet us!
