The Elephant of Surprise, is the latest novel in his long-running Hap and Leonard series of novels, novellas, and short-stories. After ten-years of solving crimes side by side, the pair’s dynamic has changed since Hap became a family man. When the two men happen upon a woman who’s nearly had her tongue cut out while East Texas experiences the worst flood it has seen in years, they soon realize that’s only the beginning of the case. The survivor of a mob hit, the girl is still on the boss’s radar, which not only means trouble for Hap and Leonard’s lives, but their friendship too.

How to order books & tickets:
This is a ticketed event. Priority tickets to the signing line are given only with the purchase of THE ELEPHANT OF SURPRISE from Mysterious Galaxy. Tickets are numbered, indicating your place in the signing line, and are sold on a first-come basis. You may purchase your book online, in-store, or over the phone, but all books must be paid in full in order to receive a ticket.
Online orders:
1) You must enter payment method. Books ordered using the 'pay in store' option will not be issued a ticket or guaranteed a book until actual payment is made.
2) Note your intent to attend in the comments section at checkout.
3) All online orders must be submitted by 12:00pm on MARCH 25TH for your book to be personalized.
You'll be able to pick up your book and ticket from Mysterious Galaxy the day the book is published, MARCH 19TH at 10:00 AM.
