Early on Sara Wilson Etienne attended
college in Maine intending to become a Marine Biologist. After researching
leatherback turtles, Etienne discovered she preferred fantasy to facts, and a
novel was born. Written ten years ago, the first draft of Harbinger, Etienne’s debut young adult novel, was only 90 pages
long. Over the years, the story kept calling her back and as she revised the
draft and developed her craft, the story evolved and became, as she calls it, a
passion project. Her love of the sea and its craggy coast is evident in her
writing and became the world of Harbinger.
Sara will also be a participant at the Passion and Prose conference.  With Jenn Reese.
