ORANGE COUNTY NOIR event with contributor Patricia McFall

Join Denise Hamilton and Patricia McFall for an afternoon of Southern California noir on Sunday, April 11, at 2:00 PM. Denise, the award-winning author of the Eve Diamond Series, compiled the original Los Angeles Noir anthology a few years ago, and now she and a bevy of great writers have returned to the birthplace of noir.  Los Angeles Noir 2 contributors include contemporary authors like Naomi Hirahara (meet Naomi at MG on April 17) and James Ellroy, as well as those who are no longer w8ith us, like Ross Macdonald, Joseph Hansen and Leigh Brackett. Patricia is one of the contributors to Orange County Noir’s “hard-boiled tour behind the Orange Curtain,” along with editor Gary Phillips, Robert Levinson, Nathan Walpow, and Dick Lochte. Johnny Temple, the publisher and Editor in Chief of Akashic Books, which has produced more than 40 titles in this series (which has generated multiple award nominees), will be at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at the end of April, along with numerous other contributors to these and other volumes.
