Mystery readers “eat up” Melinda Wells’ Della Carmichael culinary mysteries. Killer Mousse introduced the cooking school owner, cable television show star, and amateur detective. Last year’s Death Takes the Cake was one of MG’s bestselling mysteries. Now The Proof is in the Pudding as Della is persuaded to act as a judge for a competitive celebrity cooking show, but someone is permanently eliminating the contestants. Melinda’s extensive background in television – among other careers, she has written screenplays, taught screenwriting, worked in daytime drama and been vice president of a movie studio – informs her books, which also include recipes.
