Master of the crime novel, Gary Phillips knows his stuff. Treacherous is his new short story collection featuring random “grifters, ruffians and killers.” Born and raised in South Central L.A., Phillips uses his hometown as a backdrop for his fleshed out characters and hard boiled plotlines.
