Unfortunately, the dream comes to an end when they find themselves together again on the once more soon-to-be-doomed planet Earth. Only with the help of Zaphod Bebelbrox -- and one of the unlikeliest characters they could meet -- do they escape with their lives once more. Their travels to keep the Vogons from destroying the last colony from Earth take them to the planet Nano and, on a more personal mission, Zaphod goes to Asgard, home of the Norse Gods. Of course nothing ever goes right when Arthur Dent's involved. It may not be Douglas Adams, but Hitchhiker's fans won't be comparing it to Vogon poetry any time soon.

Maryelizabeth says:Having reread my way through the first five books in the Hitchhiker's trilogy over the past year, I felt pretty well immersed in Douglas Adams' life, the universe, and everything when I started reading And Another Thing. Colfer's sense of the absurd feels like a good match to Adams' work, especially in sentences like " ... continued Ford in a voice so superior it would have caused single-cell life forms to accelerate their evolution so that they could use their fab new opposable thumbs to pick up a rock and beat him to death." Many of our favorite characters are back and very much themselves
