After 29 nonfiction books, award-winning author, journalist and host of television’s “Primal Grill,” Steven Raichlen introduces his debut novel Island Apart. Along with a B.A. in French literature, Raichlen, who was born in Japan and raised in Baltimore, also received a Thomas J. Walter Foundation Fellowship to study Medieval Cooking, was offered a Fullbright Scholarship to study comparative literature, and trained at Le Cordon Bleu and La Verne in Paris.
