Readers of David Weber’s dark speculative fiction story, “Out of the Dark,” in the recent Warriors anthology will be delighted to see the story has expanded into the first of a trilogy of novels, Out of the Dark. Out of the Dark offers vampires, aliens, and military action as the “lunatic local sentients” of the third planet from the sun set up a defense against an invading colonizing force.
