Young Julie is the newest member of the Metropolitan Opera’s violin section. She is not prepared for the personal rivalries, pettiness and drama off-stage – nor for her mentor, the conductor to be shot during a performance in Murder in the Pit. (See Sandra’s review below.) Local author and screenwriter Erica Miner has a background as a professional violinist, like her protagonist, and has written novels about family travels, and the adventures of four young women in the Midwest during the 1960’s.
