Fans of Vicki Pettersson’s Sign of the Zodiac urban fantasy superhero series are eagerly awaiting Cheat the Grave, following the events of City of Souls, including Joanna Archer’s sacrificing her immortality and powers to save an innocent. Joanna, having altered her destiny, is still a figure of prophecy, sought both by her former enemies and allies and the target of a death-dealer, as she takes refuge in Las Vegas’s supernatural underworld.
