Jonathan Kellerman published his first Alex Delaware novel, When the Bough Breaks, in 1985. Now in addition to Deception, which is the 25 in the series, Jonathan has also written a half-dozen non-Delaware novels, written and illustrated two books for children, and a nonfiction volume on childhood violence. Jonathan signs and discusses Deception at MG on Thursday, April 1, at 7:00 PM with his son, Jesse. Alex, described as Jonathan’s “Walter Mitty fantasy” is called in by LAPD Lt. Milo Sturgis to provide his assistance on a murder case.

Award-winning playwright, author and Scrabble player Jesse Kellerman visits MG on Thursday, April 1, at 7:00 PM. Jesse will be joined by his father, Jonathan Kellerman. Jesse’s latest novel, The Executor was described by Publishers Weekly as an “outstanding novel of psychological suspense.” Grad student Joseph Geist, suspended from school for his lack of accomplishments, finds himself engages as a “conversationalist.” In exchange for room and board, he supplies an elderly woman with a spirited educated philosophical debate partner.
