Barbara Hamilton, better known to Mysterious Galaxy's readers as Barbara Hambly, launches a new historical mystery series with The Ninth Daughter. Publishers Weekly gave the first Abigail Adams mystery a starred review, noting, "Historical fans will eagerly look forward to the next in this promising series." In 1773, Abigail and John are still living in Boston, and John is a member of a clandestine group opposing the reigning King George. When a fellow patriot is murdered, John is among the suspects, endangering him and the Sons of Liberty.
