Cindy Pon is a Southern Cali girl through and through. A Chinese brush art student for nearly a decade, she shows her original pieces at Balboa Park's Spanish Village. Silver Phoenix is her young adult fantasy debut inspired by ancient China, named one of the top fantasy/sci fi novels for youth by Booklist in 2009 and also an Editor's Choice for the year. The sequel will follow in spring 2011 as well as a children's picture book featuring her chinese brush art.
